| The tour starts from a Chiang Rai pier with a long-tail
speed boat ride for approximately 1.5 hours over the Maekok
River to Baan Ruam Mitra, a traditional Karen hill tribe
village. Guests will then ride on the back of an elephant
for a one-hour tour of the village. After the journey
back to Chiang Mai by boat, guests are transferred to
a trishaw to visit Wat Phra Kaew, where the Emerald Buddha
image was discovered in 1334. (It is now displayed in
the Grand Palace in Bangkok). By car we transfer you back
to your hotel in Chiang Rai. |
