    S7 Days Around North Thailand Tour



DAY 1 : BANGKOK – KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK (L, D)
Pick up from Bangkok hotels and head off towards Nakhorn Ratchasima (Khorat). First stop are the magnificent Khmer temples and ruins of Phimai Historical Park, located in the middle of a traditional village. Lunch will be served en route at a local restaurant. Return to Khao Yai National Park, the oldest national park in Thailand. Drive to the resort for check-in. Dinner & overnight at the picturesque Juldis Khao Yai Resort

DAY 2 : KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK - PHITSANULOKE (B, L, D)
American Breakfast at the resort. We will then tour the stunning Khao Yai National Park and then head off to Saraburi, to visit Phra Buddha Badh to see the shrine and the holy footprint of the Lord Buddha. Next stop is Lopburi to visit the famous temples, ancient ruins and museum. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. The afternoon will be spent journeying to the North. Dinner and overnight at the Amarin Lagoon hotel.

DAY 3 : PHITSANULOKE – LAMPANG (B, L, D)
American breakfast at the hotel, then visit the private collection of Dr. Thavee-Pim, who has created his own fascinating folklore museum. We then travel to the ancient towns of Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai, the former satellite city of Sukhothai. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. Continue to Lampang. Dinner and overnight at the Lampang River Lodge.

DAY 4 : LAMPANG – CHIANG MAI (B, L, D)
American breakfast at the Lodge. We then travel to Chiang Mai, with visits to the White Karen hill tribes on the way, plus the revered Wat Haripoonchai in Lampoon. Lunch en route. We then visit the Home Industries Village at Bo Sang and San Kam Phaeng – a major centre of industries such as cotton, traditional local crafts, Burmese antiques, hill tribe handicrafts, hand-woven silk and cotton and wood carvings. Guests will have the opportunity to shop at the many stores selling these products. Dinner and overnight at the Chiangmai Plaza Hotel.

DAY 5 : CHIANG MAI (B, L, D)
American breakfast at the hotel. Then visit the one of most revered temples in Chiang Mai: Wat Doi Suthep, located high in the mountains, to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole of Chiang Mai province. Lunch at the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure, so guests can explore “The Rose of the North”. In the evening we offer a traditional Kantoke dinner, accompanied by various fascinating shows performed by people of the ethnic hill tribes of Northern Thailand.

DAY 6 : CHIANG MAI – CHIANG RAI (B, L, D)
American breakfast at the hotel. Depart from Chiang Mai to visit an elephant training camp at Mae Ping (no ride included) to see how these huge animals are used for all kinds of strenuous tasks in the jungle. We then head in the direction of Fang and Thaton. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. From Thaton we set out on a four-hour, round-trip, long-tailed speedboat ride to Chiang Rai. Along the way we will see the various hill tribes in their native environment. Dinner and overnight at the Dusit Island Resort

DAY 7 : CHIANG RAI – BANGKOK (B, L)
American breakfast at the hotel. Early morning transfer to Mae Chan to visit hill tribes before continuing to Mae Sai, a small trading town. We then proceed to visit the exact spot where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (Burma) converge, known as the Golden Triangle. Lunch at the Imperial Golden Triangle Resort. Then transfer to the historical city of Chiang Saen. After, we head to Chiang Rai Airport for flight to Bangkok. Connect to International Airport or transfer to hotel.
