    3 Days River Kwai / Jungle & Rafting Tour

 

DAY 1 : BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI (L, D)
Pick-ups from Bangkok hotels and drive to Kanchanaburi. First stop is the JEATH Museum, an attraction that details the life of a POW through photos and letters. We also stop at the War Cemetery containing the graves of Allied prisoners of WWII and then visit the famous ”Bridge over the River Kwai”. We then travel by train along the original ‘’Death Railway’’ track for a one-hour ride to Wang Po station. On arrival at Wang Po station, lunch will be served at a local restaurant. We then continue in a long-tailed speedboat from the Resotel boat pier, passing beautiful scenery along the way. We arrive at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts, check -in and then visit the nearby Mon Tribal village, where a traditional way of life has been preserved. In the evening a European set dinner will be served, followed by a traditional Mon Dance performance. Overnight at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts.

DAY 2 : KANCHANABURI (B, L, D)

After an American breakfast, we leave the floating resort and take a boat upstream to the Saiyoke National Park, where guests will visit the stunning Saiyoke Yai Waterfall surrounded by a teakwood forest. This is an excellent spot to relax and unwind. We return to the Jungle Rafts for a Thai lunch. Then we go by elephant for a one-hour ride through bamboo forests and dense vegetation. In the late afternoon, check out and transfer to the River Kwai Resotel on board floating rafts. Dinner and overnight at the River Kwai Resotel.

DAY 3 : KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK (B, L)
American Breakfast at the Resotel. Head out in the early morning for a brisk walk in the jungle area and start climbing up to the Kaeng Lava Cave to explore imaginative shapes of stone formations and one of the most beautiful caves in Thailand. We return to the Resotel for a healthy lunch. Check out of the resort and transfer back from the main boat pier to arrive in Bangkok in the late afternoon.
