    3 Days Chiangrai Tour

 

DAY 1 : CHIANGMAI – CHIANG RAI (L)
Transfer clients from Chiang Mai hotels to the north. We travel along one of the most scenic routes to Chiang Rai. En route, we will visit an elephant training camp to see the elephants at work (no ride included, optional service) before we continue northwards in the direction of Thaton. Thai set lunch en route at a local restaurant in Thaton. After lunch, we board long tailed boats for an exciting 4-hours long tailed boat ride from Thaton to Chiang Rai. En route, we will stop to view the hill tribe villages built along the banks of the Maekok River. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the Chiang Rai boat landing from where it is only a short transfer to guests specified hotel. No dinner included in the package. Overnight at Chiang Rai Hotel.

DAY 2 : CHIANG RAI (B, L)
American breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we depart for a full day tour around the most northern area of Thailand. We proceed to Chiang Sean to visit the remains of this ancient city, which dates back over 700 years. We will drive alongside the famous Mekong River to the exact spot where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (Burma) meet, better known as the Golden Triangle. We then head for Sob Ruak, a small trading town on the Myanmar border. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we continue to the Doi Mae Salong area which is the home of a variety of hill tribe villages such as the Akha, Samyak and Yao Pha Duea. The return back to guests’ specified Chiang Rai hotel. No dinner included. Overnight at Chiang Rai Hotel.

DAY 3 : CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI (B,L)
American breakfast at hotel. Transfer from hotel to visit Aka and Yao hill tribes at Mae Chan, then return to Chiang Rai to tour the city and temples. Lunch at Larn-Thong (Dusit Island Resort). Transfer to Chiang Rai Airport for flight bound for Chiang Mai. Arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport and transfer to specified Chiang Mai hotel.
